Recommendations and opinions of our physicians, nurses and staff were integral to design of our new facility.
During schematic design, designated SJRMC employees joined with the architects to form User Groups. These user groups discussed room layouts and equipment placement, in an effort to design the most efficient, customer-friendly facility possible.
User groups were aided in the design process by life-size models called Mock-up Rooms. These were created for:
- Acute Care
- Intensive Care
- Pre and post-procedural
- Emergency
- Labor & Delivery
- Operating
The mock-up rooms were filled with as much equipment and furniture as possible to help architects and designers understand how physicians, staff and patients will function in the spaces.
